I can see what you are getting at. I see good poems as successfully outlining the shape of something true but inexpressible, giving the reader sufficient clues to intuit the rest.

I guess i disagree with this one. in Mistletoe Blues The viewer is seeing all life’s imperfections and then some…at the same time I agree …in that all the imperfections are held together by the song that entwines through them. If that wasn’t there they would just be strange descriptions…of probably a bad date.
Absolutely true. But what I am hinting at is the fact that nowadays people use too complicated words and prose to say something almost trivial….Or nothing at all…
